Act 1

The Beginning of Christmas

- A story of hope born in a small town -

Two thousand years ago, in a small town called Bethlehem in Judea,
people were searching for hope amid hardship and uncertainty.
In a quiet stable, a baby was born.

His birth became a symbol of love and peace for countless people,
and over time, it came to be remembered around the world
as the true origin of Christmas.

In Act 1, we present “The Light of Hope” that shone on that cold, silent night
through beautiful music and moving performances.

Act 2

The Christmas Miracle That Came to Anna

- A Heartwarming Story of Change -

Anna was a selfish girl who always caused trouble for everyone around her.
But one miraculous event changed her heart,
helping her realize the true kindness and love of her family and those around her.

A heart-touching Christmas story,
told through beautiful carols that fill the air with warmth and compassion.

Christmas Cantata 2025 – Introduction

A Christmas that connects hearts through multicultural harmony.

Hosted by the Japan Multicultural Center and supported by Shinjuku City, the “2025 Christmas Cantata” is a special Christmas performance that shares the spirit of multicultural coexistence through music and inspiration. Volunteer students from around the world will present a heart-touching musical filled with beautiful songs and a moving story, centered on the themes of Love, Hope, and Forgiveness. In the first act, a grand choir and orchestra depict the true origin of Christmas. In the second act, the miraculous story of a young girl named Anna unfolds, portraying the wonder of Christmas that changes her heart. As people of diverse cultures and values come together to share in a moment of deep emotion, understanding and harmony blossom within the community— this is the form of multicultural coexistence that we strive for. This winter, why not be surrounded by the harmony that begins here in Shinjuku and spreads throughout the city?
